Cities across East Asia are navigating major transitions—from aging populations and economic shifts to growing social diversity. Under the theme "Weaving Urban Lives: Care, Community, and Belonging," the 14th East Asian Inclusive Cities Network (EA-ICN) Conference invites practitioners, policymakers, researchers, activists, and students to explore how we can build more inclusive, caring, and connected communities amidst these changes.
Held in Seoul, this year's conference will spotlight practical responses to shared regional challenges: population decline, evolving care needs, irregular labor, migrant inclusion, and more. Alongside presentations from Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, participants will join field visits to community-led initiatives in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do, engaging directly with the people shaping urban inclusion on the ground.
Join us as we reimagine the social fabric of East Asian cities—together.
