Research Title: In-depth interview study to identify housing issues of foreign residents in Seoul and future policy agenda
Purpose: As the nationality and residency status of foreign nationals in Seoul become increasingly diverse, this study aims to identify housing issues faced by foreign residents and uncover future demands for housing policy.
Contents: (i) In-depth interviews with 13 foreign households in Seoul, including: professionals in skilled fields, workers in low-wage manual labor jobs, student households; (ii) interviews with 3 practitioners from foreign residents’ support organizations; (iii) analysis of pressing housing issues faced by foreign residents; and (iv) proposals for housing policy directions.
